With only 2 points separating the top two riders in the women’s class, the final round of the Australian Enduro-X Nationals is sure to be a hotly contested affair between Ballard’s Motorex rider Jess Gardiner and second placed Tayla Jones. With the start of the off-road season only a month away Jess is keen to kick off the race year with the Enduro-X title.
The highly technical tracks have been providing plenty of moments for the riders and spectators alike.
Jess has this to say, “I am really enjoying the Enduro-X series, the event has a great vibe and it’s great to be able to connect with fans in such a fun atmosphere. Anything can happen during a race as I found out in Sydney so this round I’ll be looking to keep the bike out of trouble and upright on Sunday!”
Jess will be chatting to as many fans as she can at Melbourne, making sure they know about her newly launched Indiegogo campaign. Jess is using the international crowdfunding platform to assist with funds for her international racing.
For those not familiar with the crowdfunding concept – Indiegogo offers “perks” which supporters purchase. In this case, Jess’s sponsors have stepped up and donated thousands of dollars worth of product, ready to be claimed. Perks start from $10 through to $400 and goods range from signed jerseys and magazine subscriptions to trailrides and dirtbike insurance. The site uses PayPal so transactions are simple and secure.
“Using a site like Indiegogo is a win-win scenario. It is a way for me to raise much needed funds but at the same time anyone who makes a donation is getting something tangible in return” says Jess.

Round 3 of the Enduro-X Nationals is being held at Calder Park, Victoria on Sunday March 2nd.
